For over 50 years photographer Anne Havgaard has based her studio in Faaborg. For much of that time she has been located within the creative surroundings of one of Faaborg’s most attractive streets, Bøjestrædes. There, along with her late husband the designer Poul Havgaard, she created a home and a shared workshop. During this time Anne Havgaard has taken photographic portraits of Faaborg residents and their children.
When work finished for the day in the studio and the darkroom, Anne photographed the everyday life of the local town and also its special occasions.
In particular Anne has photographed the people of Faaborg in those places where they belong and feel at home. This is a fantastic archive documenting Faaborg and the people who have lived there over the last half a century.
