The Architecture of the Summer Countryside – Chasing the Good Life

17/11-2018

22/4-2019

This exhibition shows the development in Danish recreational life from 18th-century country houses over 19th-century summer villas, interwar holiday cottages and 1960s standard houses to the experimental holiday homes and green ways of life of the new millennium.

It contains drawings, watercolours, photographs and models from the collections of the Danish National Art Library and similar material and items from other archives and museums.

The exhibit, which presents material never shown to the public before, includes the publication of a large volume of contributions by some of the most competent specialists within the area edited by author, MA and curator of the exhibition, Nan Dahlkild.
